What do imbalanced hormones look like?

Feb 01, 2023

Hello there,

Sometimes we don’t know how we are supposed to feel when we normalize exhaustion, PMS, lack of motivation, anxiety, and insomnia.

So what do balanced hormones even look like?

~A regular cycle ( little to no PMS symptoms) This means no intense cravings, anxiety, headaches, or bloating before your cycle.

Some slight cramping is normal, but you shouldn’t need pain medicine to get through the day.

~Clear skin throughout the month.

~Your sleep is sound. It takes you less than 30 minutes to fall asleep, and you stay asleep.

~ Stable mood

Trouble with any of these symptoms may mean that your estrogen is high in relation to your progesterone.

~A libido!!! It doesn’t have to be super strong throughout your cycle, but it’s there.

~Consistent energy (for the most part). You wake up feeling refreshed. You don’t have a mid-afternoon crash.

~You are able to handle stress (don’t feel constantly overwhelmed or anxious)

Trouble with any of these may indicate you may
have adrenal dysfunction.

~You are pooping 1-2 times daily.

~You aren’t bloated throughout the day.

~No diarrhea, constipation, cramping, or excessive gas.

Trouble with this, and you may have an unhealthy gut. Gut health and healthy hormones go hand in hand. You can’t have one without the other.

~Motivation and stamina to get through the day

~Mental clarity. You don’t have trouble
 concentrating.

~Lifting weights and getting stronger and seeing gains.

~Able to lose weight with a caloric deficit.

If you have trouble with these, you may have low DHEA or testosterone.

Getting your hormones balanced first makes achieving and keeping your goals much more attainable.
